Grace Preschool opened its doors in the Fall of 1973. The school originally met in the fellowship hall of the church until the present educational wing was built in 1987.
Grace Preschool is a non-profit organization that reaches out to the community as a "Beacon of Light".
.We provide learning-through-play experiences in a Christian environment, ensuring children and their families will feel welcomed, secure and confident—knowing each of us is created by God and that we are loved and cared for by our Savior Jesus Christ. We strive to nurture each child's sense of wonder and curiosity, and to instill a life-long love of learning. Together we prepare children for a successful transition to Kindergarten and to reach their fullest potential for happy, healthy lives.
Grace Preschool Curriculum is thematic and closely aligned with Virginia"s Milestones of Child Development and the comprehensive standards of Virginia's Foundation Blocks of Early Learning. Each day includes Circle time, Small Group activities and work in Learning Centers, as well as outdoor play. Children participate in weekly Chapel Lessons focused on stories from the Bible.

A weekly email and monthly newsletters keep parents informed regarding preschool happenings such as themes, activities, family events, and special guests.. We encourage families to attend and participate in all special school activities. Parent-Teacher conferences are held in January and additional conferences may be scheduled with the director or teacher anytime.
Registration and Enrollment
To be eligible for enrollment, 3 year old children and 4 year old children must be the required age by September 30th of that school year. Attendance and membership at Grace Church is not a requirement to enroll your child in the preschool, however you are more than welcome to worship here.
The goal of the preschool is to offer the best program at a very competitive cost. A non-refundable registration fee is used to cover administrative costs, and insures student placement. Tuition is paid monthly in 9 equal payments and is due on the 1st of each month beginning in September, with the final payment due in May..
School and Facilities
The education wing contains three classrooms totaling over 3000 square feet. These classrooms are bright and spacious and are equipped with their own restrooms. All classrooms have big sunny windows! Large bulletin boards display projects and students’ work. All students have their own place in the classroom to store personal items. The fenced in play yard is located adjacent to the educational wing of the church and meets all safety standards. Our new Play Structures were installed May 2020. The preschool uses the church facilities as needed. The Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall provide us with space to accommodate large gatherings. Our School has capacity for 40 children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old.
